Wow! It's my 100th post! Hope you are all enjoying Triple T Mum!
I recently started Cyndi O'Meara's 21 Day Weight Loss Program. She is a nutritionist that is making a lot of sense to me. The program is not about denying yourself food but about eating good food five times a day. The program takes you step by step, day by day through breaking some intrenched habits that are stopping you from losing weight and feeling healthy. Here's a video of Cyndi on an Australian talk show. The first 3 minutes discuss breakfast and why protein is important for kids at breakfast.
The 21 Day Program is making me rethink our weekly menu. This week I start with a new breakfast menu, including protein as a key part of the children's breakfasts. I hope to add more variety over the coming weeks, but I'll run them past the taste testers first, before I post them!
Eggs is the easiest food to start with. Apologies to those with egg allergies.
Here is the post on Snack Boxes and what is contained in them.

Thanks for sharing Amie...my weight is really getting me down at the moment so perhaps i should give this a try.
ReplyDeleteI love your meal plans but wouldn't have a hope of getting eggs or beans into the girls in mornings although i try to. Do all of your little guys eat the same dinner? I am really struggling with getting the girls to eat the same meals as us most nights...getting very frustrated!! Ruby has a lot of sensory food issues but even Tara is getting fussy now!!Love, love your inspiration though and well done on sticking to the plan so well x
Hi Jode! Yes the kids eat the same dinners as us. There are some dinners that hubby and I will add chilli to once the kids have been served but from day dot I was determined not to be making seperate dinners for people! We are having some issues with Chook eating dinner at the moment. He eats all day but from 5pm onwards refuses to eat anything other than his cookie and milk before bed. Very frustrating. I have to keep reminding myself to make sure he gets a really decent lunch or afternoon tea. I couldn't imagine what you are going through, Jode. It must be so challenging for you and with so much on your plate too! Thinking of you, I know you are doing your best with what you've got at this time :) This too shall pass.
DeleteOh...congrats on the 100th post...YAAAYYYY!
