At 5am this morning my toddler snuggled into bed with me and we slept until 7am. Ahhhhh... After that we hit the ground running but it went so smoothly. At 9am all chores were complete and we still had an hour before we headed off to the library.
Chook is really responding to the routine chart. I believe he likes knowing what is happening or coming next. He is even 'reading' the chart by identifying the pictures and labelling what it means.
It was our first visit to the library 'Toddler Time' in more than a year. What a difference! The last time we were there Chook was strapped into his stroller because he would do a runner. This time he spent the whole time right beside me (clingy). It was great colouring in and doing a craft with Chook. I think he really enjoyed spending time with Mum.
The twins enjoyed the session. Ooffa wanted to get down on the floor and join in. Strawberry loved the singing.
The twins were tired by the time we got home. I made them a quick lunch and got them to bed. Chook ate lunch with Mummy and then he was off to bed, too. I enjoyed an uninterupted cup of tea and got organised for the rest of the day.
Triple T Dad took the kids for a walk when he got home from work. Which gave me space to get dinner organised. When they got back from their walk, we ate dinner together and Steve helped me get the kids ready for bed.
The success of the day comes down to sleep, the routine chart and Mummy having some kind of a plan.
Tomorrow will be my last post based around finding opportunities to meet my vision for the family. Using these posts from the past week I am going to identify the areas that need tinkering. I am going to share with you what I am going to change and how I am going to change it.
